Tribe Bali Kuta Beach, under Accor Hotels, proudly presents an event themed “Tribe’s Pink Journey: When Culture Meets Wellness.” This event is held to commemorate National Batik Day in October as well as Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In collaboration with Oedel Fashion, Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation, and Siloam Hospital, the event aims to raise awareness of Indonesia’s batik cultural heritage and promote health and well-being.
The event, which will be held on October 25, 2024, will include free breast cancer screening by professional doctors from Siloam Hospital, followed by a health talk show featuring Ms. Gaye Warren, founder of Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation, and Dr. Anak Agung Laksmi. In addition, a pink batik workshop by Theressia Debby from Oedel Fashion will teach participants how to create batik patterns and dye fabrics, while supporting local MSMEs. “Through this event, we want to support local MSMEs while raising public awareness about health. We also launched a special pink mocktail, where 10% of sales will be donated to the Bali Pink Ribbon Foundation,” said Adrian Utomo, General Manager of Tribe Bali Kuta Beach
