Embark on a Culinary Journey at The Art of Spice: Island Flavours

Renaissance Bali invited guests to embark on a culinary journey with Home by Chef Wayan in an exclusive event, “The Art of Spice: Island Flavors.” This immersive experience celebrated the vibrant cultural heritage and rich flavors of Bali, brought to life by two acclaimed chefs: Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa, known for his innovative take on Indonesian cuisine, and Chef Wisnu Adiyatma, who transported diners through the authentic tastes of traditional Balinese dishes.

In this intimate 6-course dinner, Chef Wisnu Adiyatma showcased iconic, time-honored Balinese dishes, while Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa brought modern Indonesian cuisine to the table, creating a seamless fusion of tradition and innovation. Together, they created a unique dining experience that highlighted the Double Ikat tradition, weaving together the essence of Bali’s rich heritage and vibrant future.

The evening included an engaging Balinese Sambal Ritual, where guests were invited to prepare traditional sambals using a stone mortar, a true hands-on experience connecting them with Bali’s vibrant spice culture. Alongside this, a Balinese performance and the artistry of Endek weaving added a cultural richness that guests will remember long after the evening ended.As part of this collaboration, three dishes from Chef Wayan will remain available at Double Ikat until March 27, 2025. This special offering invites guests to continue their culinary journey with the vibrant flavors that showcase Bali’s rich cultural heritage:

Chef Wayan Kresna Yasa is a celebrated culinary innovator whose modern Indonesian creations bring an exciting twist to local flavors.
