From November 5th to December 4th, 2022, guests will be able to interweave the culinary with the creative in an exciting new arts program courtesy of Belarusian watercolor artist Tatiana Efimova. The Bali-based talent will be in residence at Samsara Ubud, showcasing her flower-focused work, as well as leading immersive workshops for visitors to enjoy.
In conjunction with this exhibition, The Kelusa will be hosting a series of events. These include the Cocktails of the Month offering – a sipping opportunity based around a trio of floral-inspired cocktail selections – the Magic of Margarita (tequila, triple-sec, butterfly pea extract, lime juice and lemon syrup), the Rose Pink (vodka, orange juice, lime juice, grenadine syrup, rose syrup), and Rosella Gin and Tonic (London dry gin, rosella flower extract, honey, lime juice, and tonic water). Each is available at IDR 120,000++ per glass.
Between November 21 and 25 there’s the Wine and Botanical Art class for beginners. Tatiana will lead intimate groups between 3 and 10 people on a painting journey that costs Rp 800,000++ per person but includes painting materials, light bites and free-flowing select wine, cocktail, beer and non-alcoholic beverages.
On the November 27 weekend comes the Brunch, Brush and Bubbles event. Guests will be invited to enjoy an indulgent brunch dreamt up by chef Iwan Sutrisno, alongside a watercolor painting class. Plates include a squash frittata, formed from butternut squash, tomatoes, wild rocket, and grana padano, though sweet tooths will prefer the ricotta hotcakes, topped with caramelized banana, ricotta cheese, and honey blossom. The event will run from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
There are a trio of different brunch packages, promising something for everyone. Brunch accompanied by non-alcoholic beverages will start at IDR 900,000++ per person, and will treat guests to a three-hour watercolour painting class, plus free-flowing soft drinks, tea, coffee, juice, and select creative mocktails. If you’re craving a stronger drink you can partner your brunch with alcoholic beverages, from cocktails, beer or sparkling wine, and the same option of soft drink, mocktails, and juice, with the watercolour painting class at IDR 1,100,000++ per person. For brunch fanatics but not too fond of painting, you’re also in luck – the Kelusa has designed a special brunch-only option for guests, without the watercolouring class.
Every day throughout the residency also offers the chance to partake in the Flower Afternoon Tea. Imagine a Balinese-inspired afternoon tea which integrates a selection of floral teas (including the healing tea, blue calming tea, and rosella chai), for Rp 250,000++ per set for two people.
